Tremendous care went into the detailing of this hand-carved bowl. Thrown on the potters wheel and allowed to harden slightly. Then, painted with porcelain slip around the rim and hand carved to create the radial pattern that showcases the raw clay underneath.

The interior is glazed carefully to preserve a sharp contrast against the white rim. The exterior is unglazed to showcase the color and texture of the raw red clay.

This would make an excellent companion to Sunburst Bowl 4 or Sunburst Bowl 6.
