Tremendous care went into the detailing of this hand-carved bowl. I threw this on the potters wheel and then allowed it to dry to a leather hardness over several days. Once hardened, I painted the rim with porcelain slip, then hand carved the radial pattern that showcases the color of the raw clay underneath. I glazed the bowl with care, to preserve the contrast between the porcelain dipped rim and the deep chocolate interior. The exterior of the bowl is left unglazed to showcase the raw beauty of the clay body.

This bowl is approx. 10in. wide x 4in. tall.

Handwashing is recommended.
